  1. HI there, I googled - 'flocking the block' today, after reading Walking the Block a book of poems about Barron and Larcher, lovely. And found your blog :) I am currently teaching C&G Textiles in Milton Keynes and we cover a lot of your work there, interesting results for the flocking! I had thought it might be worth a try, but perhaps not now.
this is my website, if you want to call by and say hello

    1. Hi Jane,

Thanks for visiting my blog! Yes, I didn't get satisfactory results with flocking, but let me know if you try it and have better luck. It worked at the Tobias and the Angel workshop I went to (in earlier blog post) but they had wool flock and blocks with large surface areas and I didn't see how they applied it, but it definitely worked there.

I just visited your website - love your work and your Etsy textile pieces. I like that you use many different techniques in your textile arts and crafts.

I'll keep a look out for your vintage fairs if I am near one.

  2. HI Catherine
Great that you spotted my comment, I thought I might be stuck in cyber space for weeks!
I love the bmx snake print, lovely inventive printing.
.....I am trying to think of the C&G course as TableTopPrinting, so that the students can continue with their work at home and not need fancy equipment, so the kitchentableprintmaker fits in with our ethos. I'll share this blog with them, so they can read your accounts of work.

    1. Thanks for your kind comment about the snake print.

I'd be very happy for you to share the blog with your C&G students. Sounds like an interesting course that you're teaching...
